During the final year of academic life, be it a bachelor’s or master’s degree especially in Management, one has to decide on a particular specialization subject as per their career direction.
Some choose as per the interest while some jump with the confusion. After few years, one might say, ‘well that was not the interest of mine however my friend told me to, so I did but now I realized that I could have done much better choosing the other one.’ And there is always a story adding on.
To overcome the confusion, Kathmandu Model College is organizing a discussion program to help students who are in a dilemma. In this particular session, we will be discussing the reasons for choosing ‘Finance’ as your specialization based upon Experience, Academic Expertise, Market Expertise, and interest from various personalities.

Manoj Gyawali – Senior Chartered Accountant, Former CEO of Jyoti Bikas Bank, and the Current Dy. General Manager of Nabil Bank Ltd. – who has a decade-long experience in the banking industry. He also has experience in the academic sector he thought for BBA and MBA students for a long time
Hari Gopal Risal – Research degree Programs PhD & MPhil Coordinator at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), Assistant Professor of Finance at Kathmandu University, and Former President of KUSOM Toastmasters Club. He has more than a decade long experience in the academic sector.
Mr. Ramendra Rayamajhi – CEO- NIC Asia Capital Ltd., also worked as CEO at KCL Astute Capital and Also worked at a senior level position at Global IME Capital Ltd. He also has more than a decade of experience in the banking and investment banking sector
Ashish Pokhrel – Finance Student of KMC, a team leader and aspiring entrepreneur in the hospitality industry as well as very enthusiastic for the studies.
