Have you ever thought about what our lives would be like without technology? Imagine a single day without your phone, computer, and internet access. It would be tedious, wouldn’t it? Well not to mention our life completely depends upon technology. Most of our work takes place over cloud computing and other services that the internet provides. We can’t imagine living without technology, can we? We live in the era of technology.
You might be wondering what exactly the era of technology is? Some might say that it is the era of the computer. In a simple language yes, it is. But there’s more to it. The era of technology is an era of accelerated technological progress characterized by new innovations whose rapid application and diffusion typically cause an abrupt change in society.
The era of technology started when the wheel was invented which is one of the most important technology. Gradually different things started to be invented but the main era of technology and invention came in the 18 century when the industrial revolution started and various types of development and production took place.
Technology has had a great impact on every aspect of our life. It affects the way individuals communicate, learn, and think. It helps society and determines how people interact with each other daily. We are living in an era where technological advances are common. Technology isn’t inherently good or bad, it’s the culture we build around it and the way we use it.
Technology is seen to have a positive effect on society including increased knowledge and understanding, improvements in industry and jobs, and interconnectedness of the world as a result of globalization. However, with technological advancement, there’s a downside to it all. Studies show that mobile communication affects people in a negative way when it comes to being sociable and making face-to-face contact. There’s also a loss of privacy as our every activity on the internet is traceable.
Technology influence how human acts today. In this era, almost everything is impossible without technology and there’s no doubt that lack of technological advancement would make our life miserable.
